Tatiana Wiktorowna Schewzowa ( Russian Татьяна Викторовна Шевцова ; born July 22, 1969 in Koselsk , Kaluga Oblast , Soviet Union ) is a Russian politician and since 2010 Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Life

Shevtsova's father was a military man. In 1991 she graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Economy and Finance " NA Voznesensky ". She then worked for the tax authorities of Saint Petersburg and began her career as a tax inspector in the “Zentralny” district. From November 2004 to May 2010 she was deputy head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia. She supervised the control work and supra-regional inspections at the largest taxpayers. In May 2010 she was appointed as an advisor to the Ministry of Defense and on August 6, 2010 by presidential decree as Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Shevtsova is a doctor of economics. In 2006 she was awarded the honorary title of "Honored Economist of the Russian Federation". In 2009 she was awarded the rank of “Real State Council of the Russian Federation” 2nd class and in 2011 1st class (equivalent to the Army General Rank).

She is married and has two sons.

According to business magazine Forbes , Shevtsova was one of the twenty richest siloviki in Russia in 2013 .
