Tatiana Vladimirovna Kopnina ( Russian Татья́на Влади́мировна Копнина́ ; born November 11, 1921 in Krasnoyarsk , Siberia , Russian Socialist Federative Soviet Republic ; † March 6, 2009 in Saint Petersburg , Russia ) was a Soviet-Russian painter and art teacher in Saint Petersburg Leningrad, lived and worked. She is considered a representative of the Leningrad School of Painting . She was famous for her portraits.

Life

Tatiana Kopnina was born in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia, at the time of the Russian Soviet Federal Socialist Republic. In 1950 she completed her training at the Ilya Repin Institute . She came from Mikhail Avilov's workshop and was a student of Alexander Saizew , Genrich Pawlowski and Semjon Abugow .

Since 1949 Tatjana Kopnina took part in art exhibitions with portraits, genre scenes, landscapes and still lifes. In 1985 she had her own exhibition in Leningrad.

Kopnina had been a member of the Saint Petersburg Artists Association since 1950 .

From 1960 to 1990 Tatiana Kopnina worked as a teacher in the art school of the Ilya Repin Institute in Leningrad.

Tatiana Vladimirovna Kopnina died on March 6, 2009 in Saint Petersburg. Her paintings are in museums and private collections in Russia, Japan, the United States, China, and other countries.
