The Milngavie Pigeon Tower is a pigeon tower near the Scottish town of Milngavie in East Dunbartonshire . It is located on the grounds of Factor's House east of town off Baldernock Road . In 1971 the pigeon tower was included in the Scottish List of Monuments in Category B.

In the 13th century, the Dougalston lands belonged to the Graham family . John de Graham , fighting alongside William Wallace , fell in 1298 at the Battle of Falkirk . In 1767 the tobacco industrialist John Glassford bought the land, which was one of the richest Scots at the time. Glassford, who ran two bleaching plants in Milngavie, had the pigeon tower and Factor's House built in the 18th century.

The pigeon tower, made of gray sandstone , has a hexagonal floor plan. The foundation consists of mighty ashlar stones that rest on quarry stone. The rest of the structure is made up of smaller ashlar stones. Today, blind arched windows on the ground floor and rectangular windows, each with a bezel , on the upper floor are built along the facade. A simple parapet runs beneath the tent roof .
