Taubermühle , formerly just a mill, is a residential area near Igersheim in the Main-Tauber district in the Franconian north-east of Baden-Württemberg .

geography

The Taubermühle is located on the south-western outskirts of Igersheim on a Mühlkanal that runs parallel to the Tauber . There is a Tauber island in the immediate vicinity. The eastern part of the Neuhaus nature reserve includes the Tauberinsel and extends to the Taubermühle.

history

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1302. The Taubermühle was a ban mill for Igersheim, Neuses , Harthausen and Bernsfelden . Since 1552 the mill was German-Nordic . Today there is a hydroelectric power station at the living space .
