Neuhaus is a nature reserve in the districts of the city of Bad Mergentheim and the municipality of Igersheim in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg .

history

By ordinance of the regional council of Stuttgart on the Neuhaus nature reserve of October 31, 1984, a reserve of 79.4 hectares was designated.

Protection purpose

"The purpose of protection is to preserve the various types of use and biotope types to safeguard the valuable animal and plant communities and the landscape" ( LUBW ).

Flora and fauna

It is a diverse area, characterized by different uses, with valuable habitats for an abundance of animal and plant species as well as a striking geological formation.
