Ringelstaler-Weinhalde is a nature reserve on the boundaries of the Bad Mergentheim district of Edelfingen and the Lauda-Königshofener district of Unterbalbach in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg .

history

By ordinance of the regional council of Stuttgart on the nature reserve Ringelstaler-Weinhalde of November 28, 2000, a reserve of 90.2 hectares was designated.

Protection purpose

“The purpose of protection is the development, maintenance and care of a richly structured, well-developed, representative Tauber Franconian shell limestone slope

  • as a habitat for a species-rich flora and fauna and
  • as a cultural and historical testimony to the fragmented, extensive forms of land use that have shaped the character of this landscape.

The habitat complex includes the following biotope types: Rough lawns (partly in succession or afforested), warmth-loving fringes, open rock formations, stone bars, dry slopes, orchards, meadows, hedges, bushes, field trees and arable land as well as sedge and barley-beech forests "( LUBW ).

Flora and fauna

There is a richly structured, well-developed, representative Tauber Franconian shell limestone slope as a habitat for a species-rich flora and fauna. This habitat also serves as a cultural and historical testimony to the fragmented, extensive forms of land use that have shaped the character of this landscape. The habitat complex includes the following biotope types: Rough lawns (partly in succession or afforested), warmth-loving fringes, open rock formations, stone bars, dry slopes, orchards, meadows, hedges, shrubbery, field trees and arable land as well as sedge and barley beech forests.
