Lindach is a nature reserve in the Igersheim district of Bernsfelden in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg .

history

By regulation of the regional council of Stuttgart on the nature reserve Lindach of December 31, 1975 a protected area with 16.3 hectares was designated.

Protection purpose

A ban forest (LWaldG § 32) was set up with the aim of investigating what role the European beech plays in the further development and composition of the natural forest.

Flora and fauna

On the flat, undulating plateau between Tauber and Main, there is an artificially established sessile oak stock on loess with admixture of linden, sycamore, hornbeam, aspen and elm. Ash and alder in the damp depressions on the groundwater floor.
