history

By regulation of the Stuttgart regional council on the nature reserve bird sanctuary at Tremhof of December 7, 1979, a reserve of 46.5 hectares was designated.

Protection purpose

"The main protection purpose is the undisturbed preservation of the bird species occurring in the protected area, especially the heron" ( LUBW ).

Flora and fauna

Several species of birds can be found in the area, notably a colony of herons.
