Adell is a nature reserve in Königheim in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg .

geography

The nature reserve is in the district of Königheim, around 1000 meters north of the Weikerstetten district .

history

As early as June 15, 1992, protection and maintenance measures for the public forest were laid down in the Adell forest declaration.

By regulation of the regional council of Stuttgart on the nature reserve Adell of November 6, 1992 a reserve with 18.2 hectares was designated.

Protection purpose

"Protection purpose is the preservation and promotion of a natural, light, orchid-rich sedge-beech forest and its warmth-loving fringes as well as the preservation and restoration of the open semi-arid grassland with different stages of development on previously extensively used agricultural areas to safeguard the valuable, typical plant communities and animal communities" ( LUBW 1992).

Flora and fauna

There is an orchid-rich flat pea beech forest, as well as semi-arid lawns with different stages of succession and warmth-loving forest fringes with typical plant communities and animal communities, some of them already forest (LWaldG § 32).
