Kailstadt-Mühlhelde is a nature reserve on the boundaries of the Boxberg districts of Schweigern and Bobstadt in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg .

history

By ordinance of the regional council of Stuttgart on the nature reserve Kailstadt-Mühlhelde of October 2nd, 1998 a protected area with 37 hectares was designated.

Protection purpose

"The protection purpose of the nature reserve is the development, maintenance and care of a richly structured, well-developed, representative Tauber Franconian shell limestone slope as a habitat for a species-rich flora and fauna and as a cultural and historical testimony to the fragmented, extensive forms of land use that have shaped the character of this landscape. The habitat complex includes the following biotope types: Rough lawns and juniper heaths (partly in succession or afforested), heat-loving fringing areas, stone bar and dry stone wall relics, orchards, meadows, hedges, shrubbery, field trees and arable land, as well as small areas of swamp sedge marshes, forest sedge marshes, forest rushes ).
