history
middle Ages
In 1245 the place was first mentioned as Bagestat . Further documentary mentions were made in 1299 and 1454 as Bobstat . The name probably comes from a personal name. In the 13th century there was evidence of a nobility of its own among the lords of Boxberg. With the Boxbergers, the place came from the Johannitern to the Lords of Rosenberg in 1381 .
Modern times
In 1523 the place was acquired by the Palatinate. The rule was subsequently disputed between the Pfalz and Rosenberg. From 1561 half of the place was lent from the Palatinate to the Lords of Rosenberg under Palatine tithe sovereignty. After the fall as the Palatinate in 1632, the place was no longer issued. From 1691 to 1740 the place was mortgaged like Boxberg. In 1803 Bobstadt came to the Principality of Leiningen before the place became Baden in 1806. The office membership is identical to that of Boxberg.
On January 1, 1973 Bobstadt was incorporated into the city of Boxberg together with Angeltürn , Epplingen, Lengenrieden, Schwabhausen, Uiffingen and Windischbuch .
