history

middle Ages

The place was first mentioned in 1245 as Uffingen . The name probably comes from a personal name. From then on, the place shared their history.

Modern times

In 1565 Uiffingen belonged like the Schüpf to the tithe Königshofen. From 1803 the place belonged to the Principality of Leiningen before becoming Baden in 1806. The office membership is identical to that of Boxberg.

On January 1, 1973, Uiffingen was incorporated into the town of Boxberg together with Angeltürn , Bobstadt, Epplingen, Lengenrieden, Schwabhausen and Windischbuch .
