Small Knöckle is a nature reserve in the district of Bad Mergentheim neighborhood Althausen in Main-Tauber-Kreis in Baden-Wuerttemberg .

history

By regulation of the regional council of Stuttgart on the nature reserve Kleines Knöckle of January 20, 1984, a reserve of 6.1 hectares was designated.

Protection purpose

"Protection purpose is the preservation of the rare flora and fauna" ( LUBW ).

Flora and fauna

It is an area characterized by very different economic forms, which has experienced very different levels of intensity from humans in the smallest of spaces, hence the great diversity of animal and plant species.
