Helmental-Kleinleiden is a nature reserve in the area of the Werbach district of Werbachhausen in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg .

history

By ordinance of the regional council of Stuttgart on the nature reserve Helmental-Kleinleiden of December 18, 2002, a reserve of 15.4 hectares was designated.

Protection purpose

"The protection purpose is the preservation, development and care of two richly structured, typical shell limestone dry slopes in the Werbach-Böttigheimer Tal as a habitat for a species-rich flora and fauna and as a cultural and historical testimony to the small-scale land use forms that have shaped the character of this landscape. The habitat complex essentially comprises the following types of biotope: Meager lawns (partly in succession or afforested), heat-loving fringing communities, stone bars, open rock formations, dry lawns, orchards, field hedges and field trees ”( LUBW ).
