Kaltenberg is a nature reserve in the Lauda-Königshofen district of Königshofen in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg .

history

By regulation of the regional council of Stuttgart on the nature reserve Kaltenberg of September 24, 1982 a protected area with 13 hectares was designated.

Protection purpose

"The main protection purpose is the preservation of a particularly valuable habitat for warmth and drought-loving fauna and flora" ( LUBW ).

Flora and fauna

It is an old, abandoned vineyard on a south-facing slope, which is a particularly valuable habitat for a warmth and drought-loving flora and fauna.
