Hohenberg is a nature reserve in the Lauda-Königshofener district Sachsenflur in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg .

history

By regulation of the regional council of Stuttgart on the Hohenberg nature reserve of May 19, 1987, a reserve of 23.5 hectares was designated.

Protection purpose

"The protection purpose is the preservation of a landscape area in the Umpfertal with primary and secondary breeding areas, orchards, hedges and semi-arid grassland in various stages of succession. This diversity of biotopes offers many rare and endangered animal and plant species a habitat that is to be secured by the Protection Ordinance ”( LUBW ).
