After several pledges (Neuhaus, Igersheim), the Teutonic Order finally won rule over Althausen around 1411. In 1444, individual rights to the court and bailiwick were still in the hands of the Sützel von Mergentheim .

Modern times

In 1550 the Sützel sold part of their rights to the Geyer von Giebelstadt , whose ownership again fell to Prussia in 1708 .
