Schönbühl is a small settlement in the district of Bad Mergentheim neighborhood Red in Main-Tauber-Kreis in northeastern Baden-Wuerttemberg .
history
In 1219 the place was first mentioned as Sconebuhel when the settlement was given to the Teutonic Order by Andreas von Hohenlohe .
On September 1, 1973, Rot (with the associated residential areas Schönbühl and Dörtel ) was incorporated into the city of Bad Mergentheim together with Herbsthausen . As in the context of on 1 January 1973 Württemberg Baden-district reform the district Mergentheim was dissolved, Schönbühl part in the sequel to the newly formed Tauber district , which its present name on 1 January 1974 Main-Tauber-Kreis received.
