Lillstadt is a small settlement in the district of Bad Mergentheim neighborhood Stuppach in Main-Tauber-Kreis in northeastern Baden-Wuerttemberg .

history

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1301. In 1315 it was mentioned again as Lullichstadt . Much of Lillstadt's history is shared with that of Stuppach. Ecclesiastically, however, Lillstadt belonged to Mergentheim until 1614, then to Stuppach.

On February 15, 1972, Stuppach (with the associated residential areas Lillstadt and Lustbronn ) was incorporated into the town of Bad Mergentheim together with Rengershausen . As in the context of on 1 January 1973 Württemberg Baden-district reform the district Mergentheim was dissolved Lillstadt part in the sequel to the newly formed Tauber district , which its present name on 1 January 1974 Main-Tauber-Kreis received.
