Baptismal font in Chermignac

The baptismal font in the church of St-Quentin in Chermignac , a French commune in the Charente-Maritime department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , was created in the 17th century. The baptismal font of stone is as since 1982 Monument historique classified.

The baptismal font consists of a polygonal block and is covered by a simple wooden lid. On one side the coat of arms of the Goy family is depicted as a relief with three hearts. A knight's helmet can be seen above it. The Goy family may have donated the baptismal font.
