Representation of the baptism of Christ

The baptismal font in the Catholic parish church of St-Nicolas in Tessancourt-sur-Aubette , a French commune in the Yvelines department in the Île-de-France region , was created at the end of the 16th century. In 1905, the Renaissance- style baptismal font was added to the List of Protected Objects ( Base Palissy ) in France as Monument historique .

The 95 cm high stone baptismal font stands on a rectangular base with a column on which the remains of a coat of arms of the von Vion family can still be seen. The basin is decorated on one side with a bas-relief depicting the baptism of Christ and on the other side with the depiction of an angel's head.
