The baptismal font in the Catholic parish church of St. Martin in Friesheim , a district of Erftstadt in the Euskirchen district in North Rhine-Westphalia , was created in the 12th century.

The baptismal font from Blaustein is 97 cm high. It stands on a cylindrical base, during the restoration in 1965/66 the base plate was renewed and four pillars were incorporated. The round basin has four corner heads under hoods; raw mythical animals adorn the intermediate fields. The representations are only carved out of the stone, the ground is pecked.

The baptismal font belongs to the group widespread throughout the Lower Rhine , such as B. also the baptismal font in the church St. Peter in Zingsheim and the baptismal font in the church St. Georg in Frauenberg .
