Tauno Aints

Tauno Aints (born June 19, 1975 in Tartu ) is an Estonian composer and musician.

life and work

Tauno Aints graduated from the Viljandi School of Culture in 1998 . In 2004 he completed his composition studies with Lepo Sumera and Helena Tulve at the Estonian Music Academy in Tallinn . Aints has been a member of the Estonian Association of Composers ( Estonian Eesti Heliloojate Liit ) since 2004 .

Tauno Aints has made a name for himself in Estonia as a choir director, music teacher and composer. In 2008 he wrote the oratorio Time to love based on a text by Leelo Tungal .

From 2002 to 2007 Aints was also a member of the Estonian pop band Genialistid .
