Tavares Bolden (* 8. June 1979 ) is a former American American- and Canadian football poker players. He played for three seasons as quarterback in the Canadian Football League (CFL).

Career

Between 1998 and 2001 he attended the University of Toledo , where he worked for the football team college football played. In the middle of the 1999 season he took over the role of starting quarterback and led the Rockets to a 24-5 record in the following 29 games. In 2000 he won the MAC West with the Rockets and was elected to the first team All-MAC . He completed 57 percent of his passes for 1,597 yards and 13 touchdowns against just four interceptions . He also ran for 464 yards, averaging 5.3 yards, and five touchdowns. The following year he was the Rockets Conference winner and was elected to the second-team All-MAC . He completed 214 of his 319 passes, setting a MAC record for completion percentage (67.1%). He threw for 2,466 yards and 13 touchdowns and also ran for 335 yards and four touchdowns. After college, several Canadian Football League teams showed interest in Bolden. He spent the following three seasons with the Montreal Alouettes .

In 2015, Bolden was inducted into the Varsity 'T' Hall of Fame .
