The TaxSlayer Center is a multi-purpose hall in the US city ​​of Moline in the state of Illinois . The arena was initially called The MARK of the Quad Cities before being renamed iWireless Center in 2007. Since October 1, 2017 she is wearing for ten years and 3.3 million dollars the name TaxSlayer Center .

Usage history

The arena was inaugurated in 1993 and is the home of the Quad City Mallards from the ECHL . It is also the venue for numerous other events such as concerts , theater and other sporting events . The Harlem Globetrotters have performed in the arena several times for basketball show games. Well-known musicians such as Keith Urban , Ozzy Osbourne and Prince also performed at the iWireless Center. From 2006 to 2008 the arena was one of the venues for the Quad Cities Silverbacks , a mixed martial arts team from the IFL , and from 1993 to 2001 the Quad City Thunder from the CBA . The arena football team of the Quad City Steamwheelers from af2 also played their home games here from 1999 to 2009. From 2007 to 2009 the Quad City Flames from the AHL were also represented in the arena.

The Quad City Mallards from the ECHL have played their home games in the arena since 2009, but stopped playing in 2018.
