Taxile Delord
Taxile Delord (born November 25, 1815 in Avignon , † May 16, 1877 ) was a French writer .
Taxile Delord's parents were Protestants . He studied in Marseille from 1830 to 1834 and settled in Paris in 1837 , where he worked as a journalist in several magazines until he took over the chief editor of the " Charivari " in 1842 , which he led until 1858 with a short interruption. He owed his reputation to his literary work for this paper. Later he was primarily involved in the editing of the " Siècle ". In the supplementary elections of July 2, 1871, he was elected to the National Assembly by the Vaucluse department , where he took his seat on the extreme left. In addition to numerous articles for a wide variety of journals, Delord had several independent works published.
He contributed the explanatory text to the work Un Autre Monde (1843–44) initiated by Grandville .
