The Taylor Hills are a series of icy hills in the Ross Dependency of Antarctica . In the Queen Elizabeth Range of the Transantarctic Mountains they rise up on the eastern flank of the Lowery Glacier between the Oliver and Robb Glaciers .
The United States Geological Survey , they mapped the basis of own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy in the years from 1960 to 1962. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names renamed it in 1966 to Lawrence Dow Taylor (born 1932), a glaciologist of the United States Antarctic Research Program on the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station from 1963 to 1964.
