Taylor Ella is a proteobacteria - genus from the family of Alcaligenaceae that the order Burkholderiales belongs.
features
Like all representatives of the proteobacteria, the genus is gram-negative . The cells are coccoid to rod-shaped, the cell size is in the range of 0.7 × 0.7–1.8 µm. The oxidase test is positive and catalase is also produced. Taylorella equigenitalis is the causative agent of contagious uterine inflammation in horses .

The type species of the genus is Taylorella equigenitalis , originally called Haemophilus equigenitali .
