Taz.Futurzwei ( own notation : taz.FUTURZWEI ) is a quarterly magazine for politics and future, which has been published since the third quarter of 2017 and emerged from the magazine zeozwei, a German magazine "for the environment, politics and new economy." The reorientation as a general future-oriented political journal followed the realization that problems should not be understood in isolation, but rather in context.

The editor-in-chief is Peter Unfried . The editor is Harald Welzer , chairman of 'FUTURZWEI. Stiftung Zukunftsbarkeit ', a non-profit foundation that claims to be committed to the project of a "sustainable, open society suitable for grandchildren".

Forerunner zeozwei (2008-2017)

Zeozwei ( ISSN  2194-1246 ) was published from 2008 to 2017. The name was a play on words from zoon (ancient Greek for "animal") and the chemical symbol for carbon dioxide "CO2". The circulation was 15,000 pieces. In March 2012, the publisher Deutsche Umwelthilfe sold the magazine to the taz publishing house .
