Hanna Gersmann is a German journalist and presenter .

Career

Hanna Gersmann grew up in Lower Saxony. Her journalistic career began in 1989 as a proofreader for the Allgemeine Zeitung in Windhoek , Namibia . In the same year Hanna Gersmann began studying geography in Marburg and Gießen . During her studies she did a research stay in southern Africa . From 1996 Gersmann worked for the Federal Environment Agency as a press officer in Berlin . For the Federal Environment Ministry , Gersmann was involved in the preparation of the German EU Council Presidency in Bonn in 1998 . In the same year she was responsible for the European environmental label at the Federal Environment Agency in Berlin . In 1999 Gersmann worked in the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) on setting up the Environmental Helpdesk in Berlin and Brussels. From 2000 Hanna Gersmann worked for Springer-VDI-Verlag as editor of the UmweltMagazin in Düsseldorf. In 2002 Gersmann went to taz, the daily newspaper . During her time at taz , she took on a variety of functions (including editor for economics and the environment (2002), deputy head of economics and environment (2007), parliamentary correspondent (2009), head of the domestic department (2011)). In 2013 Hanna Gersmann joined the correspondents in the press office . At the same time, she was co-editor-in-chief of the magazine taz.FUTURZWEI from 2013 to 2018 .

Currently (2020) Hanna Gersmann writes in particular about environmental, consumer and economic policy for the press office die korrespondenten based in the house of the federal press conference . She also works as a moderator.
