Team Amateur is a German-speaking indie pop band from Berlin . Her music has influences from different genres such as hip-hop , pop , singer-songwriter and electro-pop .
history
The band was originally founded in 2004 as a pure studio project by Michael Hank and the actor Tim Sander . The two spent the first ten years of the band's history exclusively developing their very own sound in the studio, characterized by interleaved rhythms and analog synthesizers . In 2013 one of her songs ran for the first time on Radio Fritz in the program Unsigned . As a result, the Berlin independent label Rummelplatzmusik became aware of Team Amateur and signed the band at the beginning of 2014.
The first single Shoot me in the knee / slow motion was released on June 6th, 2014. During this time Team Amateur grew into a live band. Drummer Caroline Weber and bassist Max Köhrich joined the band, which from then on played live as a four-person line-up.
On November 14, 2014, the band's debut album, Feuer und Freizeit , was released, which was able to reach a broad media audience and in some cases received enthusiastic reviews and numerous radio airplays and TV presence. The release was accompanied by several concerts as well as radio and TV live appearances. On May 2, 2015, the first part of the vinyl edition of Feuer und Freizeit was published , supplemented by a tour of Germany.
