Tears of Martyr is a Spanish symphonic metal / death metal band from Madrid and Gran Canaria .

history

The band formed in 1995 in Las Palmas in the Canary Islands and played with Dark Tranquility , Draconian , To / Die / For and Swallow the Sun . A recorded demo from 1996 "The Essence of Evil" received critical acclaim. Tears of Martyr recorded a second demo "Renaissance" in 2005 and had stage appearances with bands like Dark Tranquility . In 2007 the band went to Madrid and in 2008 had their first concert of their own. In June 2009 their first album called "Entrance" was released , produced by Alberto Seara on the STF Records label . The singer Berenice Musa won the Metal Female Awards 2009 for the best Spanish metal band singer that same year. In August 2012 the band went to New Sin Studios in Loria, Italy to record the album "Tales" , which was released on April 26, 2013. In January 2013 it was announced that Tears Of Martyr are now under contract with the German label Massacre Records .
