Tebulosmta ( Chechen Тулой-лам , Tuloy-Lam or Tiebuolt-Lam, Georgian ტებულოს მთა , Tebulos mta , Russian Тебулосмта ) is at 4,493 m the highest mountain in the eastern Greater Caucasus and the highest mountain in the autonomous Republic of Chechnya in Russia . As with other mountains in the region, the border between Russia and Georgia runs close to the peaks at an altitude of more than 4,000 m. With a dominance of 2,145 m, it is one of the mountains with the greatest dominance in western Asia. The mountain's glaciers are relatively small and amount to a total of just three square kilometers.
