TechForce is a computer game for computers with Windows operating systems from the Adventure genre with racing game elements. The educational game provides an insight into the training and professional world of the metal and electrical industry. In addition to the game itself, the program provides information on the subject of career choices and correct application, for example through the medium of video and through playful tests.

The player is part of the "TechForce", a team of trainees in the metal and electrical industry who develop high technology . The team has the task of designing and producing parts of the futuristic “Glider X2100”. The player receives all necessary information from the individual technical areas of the M + E industry via a PDA , which helps him to solve the various technical tasks. The aim of the game is to win the TechForce race with the best glider.
The glider race is a classic racing game. With futuristic gliders, the player competes against virtual opponents on various routes. A feature of the race was the recording of the high scores of all players on the TechForce website.
Characters
The TechForce Center has a number of trainees and other characters with whom the player can have conversations using a multiple-choice system:

Game principle and technology
In the adventure, the character is controlled by point-and-click . During the race, the glider is controlled using the arrow keys or a gamepad .
Production notes
The client was the employers' association Gesamtmetall. He initiated the project in 2008. Project management, conception and didactic content were the responsibility of the media company at the Cologne Institute for Economic Research. The game was developed by Zone 2 Connect in collaboration with EnterTrain Software. Unusually for a promotional game, the game was available in retail stores. The application was made by Gesamtmetall Marketing.

TechForce received several awards:
- 2008: Comenius seal, awarded by the Society for Pedagogy and Information (GPI) as a particularly valuable product in terms of pedagogy, content and design
- 2008: Erasmus EuroMedia Seal of Approval, awarded by the European Society for Education and Communication (ESEC)
- 2009: German computer game award in the category "Best Serious Game"
