The Technoavia SM-92 Finist ( Russian Техноавиа СМ-92 Финист ) is a light transport aircraft from the Russian manufacturer Technoavia .
history
Slawa Kondratjew, previously involved in aircraft designs from Jakowlew Jak-18T to Jak-55 and designer of the Sukhoi Su-26 , Su-29 and Su-31 , founded Technoavia in 1991. To finance his own aircraft developments, he first built Jak-18T under license and later two prototypes of the Technoavia SM92 Finist that he had designed himself . The aircraft completed its maiden flight on December 28, 1993 and is being mass- produced by the Smolensk Aircraft Factory ( Russian Смоленский авиационный завод ( СмАЗ )).
construction
The light multi-purpose aircraft with STOL properties is a striving high- wing aircraft in all-metal construction with a cross tail and non-retractable tail wheel landing gear. The track width of the main landing gear is 3.20 m, the tail wheel is controllable. The wing has electrically powered Fowler flaps and the fuselage has three doors: one folding door to the right and left of the cockpit and a sliding door on the left side of the cabin.

- SM-92P Finist - armed version for border surveillance . Equipped with two fixed, forward and one movable machine guns firing from the cabin through the side loading door , as well as two rocket containers under the wings.
- SM-92T Turbo Finist - Version with a Walter M601 turboprop engine
- SMG-92 Finist turbine - with Walter M601 powered, in Slovakia from Aerotech Slovakia optimized for parachute jumps Version
- Zlín Z-400 - planned license construction by Moravan Otrokovice in the Czech Republic with Orenda OE600 V8 engine, an aircraft built so far
