Chad Allegra (born January 20, 1980 in Asheville , North Carolina , USA ), better known by his ring name Karl Anderson , is an American wrestler and was under contract with World Wrestling Entertainment until 2020 . His greatest success so far is receiving the IWGP Tag Team Championship four times and receiving the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship twice .

Wrestling career

Independent Leagues (2002-2016)

He trained with Roger Ruffen. On May 10, 2002, he played his first wrestling match against Prince Justice . In 2005 he trained at New Japan Dojo. There he played matches against Fergal Devitt . On March 12, 2006, he defeated Fergal Devitt and thus secured the NWA British Commonwealth Championship , the first title in his career. He lost the title on June 11, 2006 to Alex Koslov. On April 13, 2007, he defeated Human Tornado and won the EWF American Championship . He lost the title on September 7, 2007 to Mikey Nicholls in a 30 Minute Iron Man Triple Threat in which Ryan Taylor was involved. On November 11, 2006, he defeated Ryan Boz and won the NWA Heartland States Heavyweight Championship . He lost the title on September 29, 2007 to Skull Crusher. He later formed The Real American Heroes team with Joey Ryan . On July 8, 2007, The Real American Heroes defeated Billy Kidman & Sean Waltman and Incognito & Sicodelico Jr. in a Three Way Gauntlet Match to win the vacant NWA World Tag Team Championship . The title lost on February 10, 2008 to Los Luchas (Phoenix Star and Zokre) .

New Japan Pro Wrestling (2008-2016)

Anderson joined the Bullet Club in September 2013.

From 2008 to 2012 he formed the Bad Intentions team with Giant Bernard . In 2009 they won the G1 Tag League . On June 18, 2011, they performed at Pro Wrestling NOAH . On the same day they defeated Takuma Sano and Yoshihiro Takayama and won the GHC Tag Team Championship . They lost the title on January 22, 2012 to Akitoshi Saito and Jun Akiyama. One day after winning the GHC Tag Team Championship on June 19, 2011, they defeated Wataru Inoue and Yuji Nagata to win the IWGP Tag Team Championship . They lost the title on January 4, 2012 to TenKoji (Hiroyoshi Tenzan and Satoshi Kojima). On November 23, 2013 at the NJPW World Tag League 2013 , he defeated BUSHI and Kota Ibushi together with Doc Gallows . On the same day he joined Luke Gallows in the BULLET CLUB . On January 4, 2014, he and Luke Gallows defeated the Killer Elite Squad ( Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Lance Archer ) to win the IWGP Tag Team Championship for the first time . They lost the title on January 4, 2015 to Hirooki Goto and Katsuyori Shibata. On February 11th, 2015, they took back the IWGP Tag Team Championship . On April 5, 2015, they lost the title to The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Michael Bennett). On July 5, 2015, they defeated The Kingdom and won the IWGP Tag Team Championship for the third time . On January 4, 2016, they lost the title to the Great Bash Heel (Togi Makabe and Tomoaki Honma). He made his last appearance for NJPW on February 20, 2016 in a joint show with ROH when he was in an eight man tag team match with his stable colleagues Bad Luck Fale, Doc Gallows and Tama Tonga against Hirooki Goto, Katsuyori Shibata and reDRagon ( Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly) lost.

World Wrestling Entertainment (2016-2020)

He made his WWE debut alongside Luke Gallows on the April 11, 2016 edition of Raw . Together with Luke Gallows, he attacked The Usos after their victory against the Social Outcasts . On April 25, 2016, he played alongside Luke Gallows in his first match against The Usos, which they also won. Together with Luke Gallows and AJ Styles he formed the stable The Club . The Club feuded Roman Reigns and The Usos. After that, they feuded against John Cena , Big Cass and Enzo Amore . At the WWE Draft 2016 , which took place at the SmackDown edition on July 19, 2016, he and Luke Gallows were drafted to Raw , while AJ Styles was drafted at SmackDown . With this draft the stable was dissolved.

At the Royal Rumble on January 29, 2017 , he and Luke Gallows of The Bar Cesaro and Sheamus won the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship . They lost the title on April 2, 2017 at Wrestlemania 33 to the Hardy Boyz in a Fatal Four Way Tag Team Ladder Match , in which The Bar Cesaro and Sheamus, as well as Enzo Amore and Big Cass also took part. As part of the Superstar Shake Up 2018, they then switched from Raw to SmackDown . Here they played a few tag team matches and were never seen in the title event, they made this displeasure known to the WWE and demanded your dismissal, which was rejected, since you have not been seen in any matches at SmackDown .

As part of the 2019 Superstar Shake-Up, Anderson switched from SmackDown to Raw on April 29, 2019 . After a while he founded the stable The OC with AJ Styles and Luke Gallows. On July 29, 2019, he and his tag team partner Gallows won the Raw Tag Team Championship of The Revival, in which The Usos were also involved. The reign lasted 21 days and finally lost the title on August 19, 2019 against Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman . On October 31, 2019 he won a Tag Team Turmoil Match with Luke Gallows and was crowned the best tag team in the world. Due to a wave of layoffs, he was released from the WWE on April 15, 2020.
