The Usos are an American tag team of Samoan origin, consisting of the twins Jonathan Solofa Fatu and Joshua Samuel Fatu (born August 22, 1985 in San Francisco , USA ), better known by their ring names Jimmy Uso (Jonathan Solofa Fatu) and Jey Uso (Joshua Samuel Fatu). You are currently under contract with World Wrestling Entertainment .

Your greatest successes so far are the four-time receipt of the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship and the two-time receipt of the WWE Tag Team Championship .

Private life

The Usos are members of the famous Anoaʻi wrestling family . They are the sons of Solofa Fatu , better known by his ring name Rikishi , the cousins of Samula Anoaʻi Rosey , Joe Anoaʻi , better known by his ring name Roman Reigns and the now deceased wrestling legend Rodney Anoaʻi , who was known by his ring name Yokozuna . Just like her father and her cousins, her uncles Sam Fatu, known under the ring name The Tonga Kid and the late Edward Fatu , who performed under the ring name Umaga , were well-known wrestlers. They are also related to Dwayne Johnson , who also belongs to the Anoaʻi family and is also known as The Rock .

Jimmy Uso has a son and a daughter. On January 16, 2014, he married his colleague Trinity McCray , who is also under contract with the WWE and appears under the ring name Naomi . Jimmy Uso's wife Trinity Fatu is on the main cast of the reality TV series Total Divas while he is a recurring performer.

Wrestling career

WWE (since 2009)

Florida Championship Wrestling (2009-2010)

The brothers first appeared in Florida Championship Wrestling , the then WWE development league. Her ring name Uso means brother in Samoan. Jimmy Uso became the first of the brothers to make his debut in WWE. He faced Donny Marlow at the FCW edition on September 20, 2009 against Jamie Noble and Wes Briscoe in a dark match, which they lost. The Usos made their television debut in the FCW edition of January 31, 2010 when they defeated Bo Rotundo and Duke Rotundo ; Joshua was still performing under the ring name Jules Uso . In the following weeks they were accompanied by Sarona Snuka as a valet . On March 13, 2010 the Usos defeated The Fortunate Sons (Brett DiBiase and Joe Henning ) and thus won the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship . They lost the title on June 3, 2010 to Los Aviadores (Dos Equis and Hunico ).

Main roster debut and WWE Tag Team Champions (2010-2015)

In the main roster, the ring name was changed from Jules Uso to Jey Uso. They made their debut on the main roster on May 24, 2010, when they attacked the WWE Tag Team Champions The Hart Dynasty ( Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith ) and their valet Natalya with their valet, whose ring name was changed to Tamina . Then they feuded against the Hart Dynasty for the WWE Tag Team Championship , but could not win the title. In the December 6th 2010 edition of Raw, the Usos lost to Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov , and Tamina then turned away from the Usos.

Between 2011 and 2013 they vied for the WWE Tag Team Championship several times without success. When they got wins against the Prime Time Players ( Darren Young and Titus O'Neal ), Rhodes Scholars ( Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow ) and 3MB ( Heath Slater , Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre ), they became the number one contender the WWE Tag Team Championship. They started a feud against The Shield as members Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns were WWE Tag Team Champions. However, the title could not be achieved. The Usos defeated the New Age Outlaws on the March 3, 2014 edition of Raw, winning the WWE Tag Team Championship for the first time in their career. They lost the title on September 21, 2014 at the PPV WWE Night Of Champions to Stardust and Goldust . After The Miz and Damien Mizdow won the WWE Tag Team Championship, they began a feud against the Usos. Jimmy Uso's wife Naomi acted as the valet for the Usos. In the December 29, 2014 edition of Raw, the Usos defeated The Miz and Damien Mizdow to win the WWE Tag Team Championship for the second time. They lost the title on February 22, 2015 at the PPV WWE Fastlane to Cesaro and Tyson Kidd .

After the PPV WrestleMania 32 the Usos feuded together with Roman Reigns against The Club ( AJ Styles , Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows ). On May 22, 2016, they lost at the PPV WWE Extreme Rules against Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows.

SmackDown and SmackDown Tag Team Champions (2016-2019)

At the WWE Draft 2016 , the Usos were drafted after SmackDown . They took part in the tournament for the newly introduced WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship . In the semifinals they were eliminated by American Alpha ( Chad Gable and Jason Jordan ). After the defeat, they did a heel turn and attacked American Alpha. They injured Chad Gable, so American Alpha could not compete in the final. At Backlash there was a match between the Usos and the Hype Bros (Mojo Rawley and Zack Ryder ), who were also eliminated in the semifinals, to determine the new finalists. In the final they lost to Heath Slater and Rhyno .

On March 21, 2017, they defeated American Alpha at SmackDown, winning the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship . On July 23, 2017, they lost their Battleground titles to The New Day . At SummerSlam on August 20, 2017, they defeated The New Day to win the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship for the second time.

On September 12, 2017, however, they lost the title again to The New Day , but The Usos defeated The New Day 26 days later to win the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship for the third time . The third reign lasted 182 days and then lost the titles to The Bludgeon Brothers Harper and Rowan on April 8, 2019 at WrestleMania 34 .

On February 17, 2019, The Usos secured the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship for the fourth time and defeated the previous titleholders The Miz & Shane McMahon . However, after 51 days of reign, they lost the title to The Hardy Boyz on SmackDown on April 9, 2019 .

Raw (since 2019)

As part of the Superstar Shake-Up 2019, The Usos switched from SmackDown to Raw on April 15, 2019 . On May 7, 2019, the Usos played another match for the vacant WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship against Daniel Bryan & Rowan , which they lost. They got this match despite being a member of the raw rooster, thanks to Vince McMahon's newly introduced wild card rule . The Usos played another match against the SmackDown Tag Team Champions on May 19, 2019 at WWE Money in the Bank , and they won this match. On June 7, 2019, The Usos played a tag team match against The Revival Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder at WWE Super ShowDown, which they won. On the June 10th edition of Raw, they competed in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match against The Revival Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder and then champions Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder for his Raw Tag Team Championship , but they could not do this match win. On July 14, 2019, they played a match for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship against The Revival Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder, but they lost that match. On July 29, 2019 they played another match for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship against The Revival Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder and The OC Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson , which they lost again.
