Nathan Everhart (born September 28, 1988 in Chicago , Illinois , USA ), better known by his ring name Jason Jordan , is an American wrestler and former wrestler and is currently under contract with World Wrestling Entertainment . His greatest achievements are winning the Raw Tag Team Championship and SmackDown Tag Team Championship .

Private life

Jason Jordan started training wrestling when he was seven because he thought it was wrestling . In addition to wrestling, Everhart also played football and baseball , and has a bachelor's degree in biology , social sciences, and medicine .

Background as a wrestler

Everhart attended Indiana University Bloomington and represented it at the Big Ten Conference . He worked as a wrestler for his university for three years. He was voted 15th three times in the US and was voted second in the heavyweight division. In his final year as a wrestler, he was unbeaten with a winning streak of 35-0. In his fourth year he worked as a trainer for the university's wrestling team.

Wrestling career

WWE (since 2011)

Florida Championship Wrestling and NXT (2011-2016)

Everhart was discovered by WWE Agent Gerald Brisco at his university. He was invited to a WWE tryout, so World Wrestling Entertainment offered him a development contract in 2010. He refused at first because he wanted to get his bachelor's degree first. After graduating, he signed a development contract with World Wrestling Entertainment in July 2011.

He was used in Florida Championship Wrestling , the then development league of the WWE. There he got the ring name Jason Jordan. On September 30, 2011, he played on the side of Abraham Washington against Big E. Langston and Calvin Raines his first wrestling match. His TV debut followed on October 13 of the same year.

On July 13, 2012, he won the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship with Leakee's CJ Parker and Mike Dalton . They lost the title on July 28th to Rick Victor and Brad Maddox.

After the end of Florida Championship Wrestling , he was used in NXT , the new development league of WWE. At first it was used sporadically. From the middle of 2014 to the beginning of 2015 he formed a tag team with Tye Dillinger . He then formed the American Alpha tag team with Chad Gable .

On April 1, 2016 NXT Takeover: Dallas won American Alpha of The Revival ( Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder ) the NXT Tag Team Championship . On June 8, 2016 on NXT TakeOver: The End , they lost their title again to The Revival .

SmackDown (2016-2017)

At the WWE Draft 2016 , which took place at SmackDown , American Alpha was pulled up to the main roster or drafted to SmackDown. American Alpha played their first match on the main roster against the Vaudevillains ( Aiden English and Simon Gotch ).

On December 27, 2016, they won the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship in a Four Corners Elimination Tag Team Match , after defeating previous titleholders The Wyatt Family ( Luke Harper and Randy Orton ) as well as the Usos and Heath Slater and Defeated Rhyno . They lost the title to Usos on March 21, 2017 at SmackDown.

Raw (since 2017)

On July 17, 2017, Everhart was revealed on Raw as the Storyline son of Raw General Manager Kurt Angle . On this raw edition, he left the SmackDown roster and became part of the raw roster. With this change, the collaboration with Chad Gable ended, which the Tag Team American Alpha was dissolved, because Chad Gable continued to be part of the SmackDown roster.

On December 25th, Everhart won the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship on Raw with Seth Rollins of Cesaro and Sheamus . On January 28, 2018, they lost their titles at the Royal Rumble again to Cesaro and Sheamus. In addition, there was a father storyline with Kurt Angle , but this ended after Jordan injured his neck and has been exposed ever since.
