Ted Kornowicz

Ted Kornowicz (born May 2, 1915 in Warsaw , † April 14, 1993 in Berlin ; born Thaddäus Kornowicz ) was a German cameraman .

The son of a graduate engineer lived in Germany since 1918. Kornowicz received his training in a photocopier and then worked as a volunteer , camera assistant and finally a simple cameraman in film. He initially worked for the UFA , from 1941 he was in the service of the Heeresfilmstelle .

After the war he was technical director at the New Operetta Theater in Berlin from 1946 . Soon afterwards he became a permanent camera operator with Herbert Körner . From 1951 he worked alongside Körner as the second chief cameraman, from 1954 he worked independently, sometimes alongside other colleagues. In addition to some little-known comedies, fairy tales, documentaries and the war film Der Transport, his profession was most recently sex films. Occasionally he also took on television assignments from the SFB .
