Tefala is a small reef island in the southwestern reef rim of the Funafuti Atoll , Tuvalu .
geography
The island is located in the southwest section of the reef rim. The closest motu are Fuagea in the north and Falaoigo in the south. It is located in the Kogatapu Conservation Area - South End .
About the same distance as the aforementioned neighboring islands, but further to the east and on the eastern section of the reef crown are the islands of Mateiko and Funafala .
