The company telent is a British company that emerged in 2006 from the former Marconi Corporation plc . It sells network components and offers services in the field of network technology. The founding became necessary because the Marconi brand and most of the manufacturing business areas of the former Marconi Corporation plc would be taken over by Ericsson .

Ericsson has committed itself to giving telent a preferential position in the service area in Great Britain. Most of the employees of the British telent and their pension entitlements were taken over by the Marconi Corporation. In 2007, the briefly listed company telent was taken over by its own pension fund and subsequently taken off the stock exchange.

In Germany, Telent GmbH, based in Backnang , emerged from the remaining German subsidiary activities . In 2009 Telent GmbH took over ADC Services GmbH, followed by the takeover of Telent GmbH from Euromicron in 2011 . At the end of December 2019, the Bremer Zech Group took over all 16 Euromicron subsidiaries, including telent GmbH.
