The euro euromicron AG (1994 to 1998 as Berliner Elektro-Technik GmbH ) is a publicly traded company since 1998, the network components on glass fiber - developed, copper and wireless base, produces and sells. The company also builds and maintains communication and information networks.

On December 11, 2019, euromicron AG applied to the competent local court in Offenbach am Main to open protective shield proceedings. The provisional self-administration procedure should relate exclusively to the euromicron AG holding company. On December 19, 2019, the protective shield proceedings were lifted again at the request of the provisional creditors' committee and the provisional administration of euromicron AG's assets by an insolvency administrator was ordered.

history

Euromicron predecessor GmbH was founded in 1994. When it went public in 1998, euromicron AG was active in more than 10 countries. In 2000, the new CEO Willibald Späth began a strategic realignment of the group. In 2001, Edgar Bernardi was won over as board member for the market and technology area. This was also the starting signal for the new strategy. In the years that followed, up to 2005, new companies were acquired, major customers acquired and network competence expanded. On the tenth anniversary of the stock exchange in 2008, euromicron AG has 20 DAX companies among its customers or partners. In 2009, Thomas Hoffmann joins the board and the holding company counts another 8 DAX companies among its customers. On October 15, 2009, the company announced that it had acquired one hundred percent of the shares in SSM Service Gesellschaft mbH , based in Hamburg. SSM Service specializes in the area of ​​voice communication. In 2011 telent GmbH was taken over and the annual turnover immediately increased to over 300 million euros. Bettina Meyer has been managing the group since 2015 and as a member of the board. At the turn of the year 2015/2016, the Executive Board of euromicron AG ceased business operations at the subsidiary AVALAN GmbH . In January 2017, euromicron AG acquired the majority stake in the IT security specialist KORAMIS GmbH. On December 11, 2019, euromicron AG applied for a protective shield administration due to overindebtedness. Regular insolvency proceedings followed shortly thereafter. At the end of December 2019, the Bremer Zech Group took over all 16 Euromicron subsidiaries.

Business areas

Euromicron AG plans, realizes and operates digital infrastructures in the areas of digitized buildings, critical infrastructures and Industry 4.0 . Euromicron AG accompanies the measures in the infrastructural area with so-called smart services , software for networking products and services. Euromicron AG describes its information technology , network and security infrastructures as the basis for companies switching to the Internet of Things. The companies of the euromicron Group offer solutions from the area of fiber optic technology and network components .

Digitized buildings

Euromicron AG provides technologies and solutions to make buildings part of the Internet of Things . As a result, the infrastructure of buildings, such as lighting, heating, air conditioning, windows, blinds, etc. is digitally networked and can be regulated by control systems, for example to reduce power consumption, maintain a specified temperature or to save individual office profiles for individual employees . According to euromicron AG, the goals of digitized buildings are greater security, better energy efficiency, ergonomics and economy.

Critical Infrastructures

Euromicron AG offers conception, planning, installation, integration, operation and maintenance of digital networks and systems for critical infrastructures through its subsidiary Telent GmbH . To this end, it develops appropriate solutions for operational and security-related communication and applications. Telent GmbH works for authorities as well as for companies, especially from the rail, transport infrastructure, energy supply, IT and telecommunications sectors.

Industry 4.0

Euromicron AG helps industrial companies switch to Industry 4.0 . When it comes to networking and automating digital business processes, euromicron AG says it relies primarily on a comprehensive risk analysis, develops a security strategy compatible with Industry 4.0, and provides solutions so that production is networked with IT at high performance and at the same time securely.

Smart Services

In addition to the three areas of digitized buildings, critical infrastructures and Industry 4.0, euromicron AG provides Smart Services . Smart services connect products and services via the Internet of Things. This requires highly flexible networking and largely automated processes. Euromicron AG develops intelligent infrastructures for production, intelligent control centers for office buildings, communication networks for the Internet of Things and networked lighting systems.
