The Templeton Peak is a 1400 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Saint Johns Range it rises 2.2 km southwest of Mount Swinford from a ridge between the Ringer Valley and the Deshler Valley .
The New Zealand Geographic Board named him in 2005 after the New Zealand diplomat and politician Malcolm Templeton (1924-2017), author of the book A Wise Adventure - New Zealand and the Antarctic 1920-1960 ( ISBN 0-86473-403-4 ).
