Tenneco International was e.g. From 1967, for example, majority or full owner of the agricultural and construction machinery manufacturer Case Corporation , into which several other companies in the industry (including David Brown , International Harvester ) were incorporated. In 1991 the individual business areas became independent companies under the umbrella of the holding company (automotive supplier, shipbuilding, packaging industry, agricultural machinery, gas transport, chemical industry). As a result, the entire company was reorganized by 1997 and all other subsidiaries apart from the automotive supplier sector were sold or made independent. In 2005 the name was changed from "Tenneco Automotive" to "Tenneco Inc". On October 1, 2018, Tenneco took over the Federal-Mogul company completely.
