Teoderico Ranieri

Teoderico Ranieri (* in Orvieto ; † December 7, 1306 in France) was a cardinal of the Catholic Church and bishop of Palestrina .

Career

In 1275 he entered the monastery of San Andrea and became prior there . On September 20, 1295 he became Archbishop of Pisa . Ranieri was elevated to cardinal on December 4, 1298 by Pope Boniface VIII . He was assigned the titular church of Santa Croce in Gerusalemme . In 1299 he was appointed bishop of the suburbicarian diocese of Palestrina. From 1300 to 1306 he was a Camerlengo . He took part in the conclaves of 1303 and 1304/05.
