Tepexpan is a city in the Mexican state of México with 102,667 inhabitants (2010), which belongs to the Municipio Acolman .
In the area of the city in the central Mexican highlands, mammoth bones were found together with parts of a human skeleton in 1949 .
Based on the stratigraphy , the find was dated to an age of 11,000 years. The "Man of Tepexpan" is one of the oldest human finds in America .
