Teresa Sukniewicz
Teresa Sukniewicz (married Kleiber ; born November 10, 1948 in Warsaw ) is a former Polish hurdler .
Career
In 1968 she reached the semifinals over 80 m hurdles at the Olympic Games in Mexico City . At the European Athletics Championships in Athens in 1969 , she was fifth in the 100-meter hurdles .
In 1970 she won bronze at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Vienna over 60 m hurdles . On June 20, 1970 she improved Karin Balzer's (GDR) world record in the 100-meter hurdles by 0.1 s to 12.7 s. On July 26th of the same year, it regained the record with a further improvement of 0.1 s.
In 1971 Sukniewicz won bronze over 60 m hurdles at the European Indoor Championships in Sofia and over 100 m hurdles at the European Championships in Helsinki . In 1972 a silver medal over 50 m hurdles followed at the European Indoor Championships in Grenoble .
