The Terme Çayı is a river in the east of the northern Turkish province of Samsun .

The river was called in ancient times Thermōdōn (Latinized Thermodon ).

The Terme Çayı rises in the Canik Dağları mountain range of the Pontic Mountains . The river flows through the Salıpazarı district and the district town of the same name in a northerly direction. In Salıpazarı, the Yeşilçay flows into the river on the right. Then the Terme Çayı turns to the northeast. After another 25 km it flows through the district town of Terme and finally flows 5 km east of the city into the Black Sea . The term Çayı has a length of about 50 km.
