Terme is a city in the Turkish province of Samsun .
It forms the center of the district of the same name . The city is 5 km from the Black Sea coast. The provincial capital of Samsun is 60 km to the west. The Terme Çayı River flows through the city . The district borders on the neighboring province of Ordu to the east . The river Akçay the same village Akçay forms the provincial border. Terme is on the European route 70 (trunk road D010 ) between Ünye in the east and Çarşamba in the west.
