Terminal Frost is an instrumental piece by the British band Pink Floyd that appeared on the 1987 album A Momentary Lapse of Reason .

Nick Mason lacked the necessary routine on the drums because of Pink Floyd's long career break , so a drum computer was used for the recording . The saxophones were played by Tom Scott and John Helliwell , the latter is known as a band member of Supertramp . Helliwell starred on the recording in return, having previously starred on the Supertramp album Brother Where You Bound by David Gilmour .
